Lead Buyer Capex (m/f/x)

The position:

Are you an accomplished professional with a strong experience in Procurement? We are actively seeking highly qualified individuals to take on the pivotal role of Lead Buyer for Capex Procurement in our fast growing production site in Pfaffenhofen.
As a Lead Buyer Capex, you will play a crucial role in shaping category strategies and leading sourcing activities to secure the best value for our company.

Roles & responsibilities:

 

  • Project Execution: Take responsibility and lead end2end sourcing activities for Capex (construction, building services, equipment) projects.

  • Ensure competitive bidding and deliver on-time, on-cost and on-quality Procurement results to projects.

  • Manage the relationship with suppliers and internal customers, as well as all relevant internal stakeholders (e.g. Legal, PMO).

  • Liaise with internal customers and establish a robust & efficient collaborative working interface.

  • Negotiate individual, project related contracts (HOAI, VOB, BGB) with suppliers, as well as frame contracts, where beneficial.

  • Category Management: Responsible for overall category management, including supplier relationship management, performance monitoring, qualification of Preferred Suppliers, Third Party Due Diligence and risk mitigation. Respect defined regulatory requirements (e.g. Purchasing Policy, compliance, third party due diligence), guidelines and processes.

  • Procurement ambassador: Promote overall procurement achievements through the organization. Contributing to creating a positive environment within the team.

  • Innovation Advocate: Contribute to projects to standardize and harmonize Procurement operations.

  • Compliance Champion: Conduct all activities in accordance with DSE policies and procedures as well as all relevant external regulations (e.g. GxP/ SOX/ Data Protection/ HCP Compliance/ ToV). Minimize use of exceptions.

 

Professional experience & education:

 

  • Degree in Engineering (e.g. Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering), Business Administration or relevant & proven experience

  • Strong expertise and working history (> 5 years) preferred.

  • Proven background (5 years +) and experience in Strategic Purchasing.

  • Strong negotiation skills, supplemented with contract & legal knowledge.

  • Intercultural understanding and strong customer service orientation.

  • Integer team player and reliable partner with very good communication skills and “can do” - attitude.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset, open for all business relevant topics and willingness to challenge “as is” - process in order to add value.

  • Languages: GE (fluent) + EN (fluent).
