Compliance Officer (m/f/x) Business Partnering
Purpose of the function:
The Compliance Officer (m/f/x) (Business Partnering) supports the Compliance & Risk Management Department at the European HQ by designing, implementing, and evaluating the Daiichi Sankyo Compliance Program across Europe. This role independently advises and guides business teams on internal processes (e.g., HCP/HCO contracting) and external compliance requirements to prevent legal or ethical violations, particularly in healthcare and patient interactions. The Compliance Officer collaborates closely with other compliance teams (e.g., Training & Awareness, Monitoring & Data Analytics) and cross-functional departments like Legal and Medical.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Advise, challenge and champion the correct application of internal processes (e.g. HCP/HCO/PO contracting) and support alignment with external requirements to prevent violations of applicable law by employees, agents and others
- Review of Activity and Product Material of assigned Business Partner: Compliance focused review and validation of all product materials, in scope for Continental Europe and Canada, e.g. market research proposals, pre-MA activities, promotional materials and events
- Ensure that corporate processes remain compliant and up to date with external as well as Daiichi Sankyo internal regulatory requirements and ensure adherence and improvements in standards, publish policies and procedures from the assigned Business Partner
- Assess and align global, regional and local policies and procedures
- Provide advice and support within DSE regarding healthcare compliance environment and address employee concerns or questions concerning the appropriateness of marketing programs, engagements with healthcare professionals, healthcare organizations and patient organizations or patient advocacy groups with regulatory requirements to achieve business objectives in a compliant and ethical manner and ensure the establishment of an effective compliance program
- Support the enhancement and further development of compliance tools and job aids (e.g. Q&A-lists), electronic and paper-based, to assist employees across the organization in the field of healthcare compliance
- Keep abreast of internal standards and business goals as well as laws, regulations and Pharma self-regulatory developments
Personal skills and professional experience:
- Master degree in pharmacy, legal, or any related degree
- At least 5 years of professional work experience in the pharmaceutical or related industry
- Demonstrated working knowledge of EFPIA, ABPI, EPHMRA, BHBIA etc.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical technology as well as national and international regulatory requirements (e.g.: EU GMP guidelines, 21 CFR 210/211, AMWHV)
- A passion and enthusiasm for continuous learning
- A team player, open-minded, flexible, proactive, motivated and willing to learn and develop
- High customer service orientation and solutions-driven approach
- Highly agile, collaborative solutions-driven approach
- English business fluent, written and spoken; additional European language highly desirable
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
