Senior Manager Global Oncology PRA (m/f/x)

The position:

The Senior Manager Global Oncology PRA will support the development and execution of the market access and pricing strategies for an asset within the 3 ADC franchise. This person will report to Director, Global Pricing, Access and Reimbursement Lead and will be responsible for providing strategic and technical expertise to drive success.  With manager oversight, the individual will contribute to global pricing strategy development, access strategy development and partner with stakeholders in the development of innovative contracting solutions. The role spans a variety of payer archetypes and involves establishing strong working relationships with the Regional and Local Access leads and partnerships with global functions including but not limited to Commercial, Marketing, Medical and Clinical Development and with our alliance partners.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute on strategies to support the Global Pricing and Access lead in the preparation and creation of optimal pricing/reimbursement/market access environment 
  • Lead and conceptualize pricing and reimbursement research for specific indications to inform go to market strategies and pricing policies
  • Ensure optimal access environment readiness when launching the asset
  • Lead work on the asset for market optimization and launch sequencing strategies
  • Represent GOMAP function and perspective in different clinical and commercial meetings and in interactions with our alliance partners
  • Contributes as an individual/matrix team member to the development and implementation of global pricing policies for the asset
  • Responsible for pricing/payer research studies and co-development of pricing dossiers (coordination, vendor management etc.)
  • Partner with regional and local pricing representatives to ensure relevant pricing requirements for the asset are identified and incorporated into the pricing strategy and pricing targets that are prepared by the global PRA team
  • Influence and further the advancement of evolving pricing and reimbursement landscape by representing the PRA function externally at P&R and policy related forums
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements
  • Develop and implement value-added analytic support as needed, leveraging multiple data sources to support the development of rational strategic and defensible pricing strategy recommendations, to inform decision making and make recommendations for new data sources
  • Develop and implement data gathering and analysis to identify appropriate strategy and insights, conducting secondary research using internal and external data sources
  • Manage and distil project results into actionable and relevant analyses within visually impactful (PowerPoint presentations); Verbally presenting project updates and results
  • Lead and contribute to internal initiatives to expand expertise within pricing and market access project types, methodologies, and pricing and reimbursement policy horizon scanning

Personal skills and professional experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required; graduate level (Masters or higher) training in Economics, Business, Life Sciences, or another analytical commercial discipline is preferred

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the health care field, including experience in pricing, reimbursement, and market access for pharmaceuticals

  • Oncology experience

  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to understand complex concepts, develop analyses from multiple sources, synthesize into clear and concise information that are responsive to business needs
  • Proficient in influencing, strategic planning and organization, decision making, problem solving skills, assessment skills, and manages resources effectively

  • Effective project management skills. Strong written and verbal communication to effectively convey strategic and technical value and access information/issues to key stakeholders
  • Demonstrates ability to build relationships, collaboration, and teamwork across functions
  • Sense of urgency and delivery orientation
  • Exceptional partnering abilities, communication and interpersonal skills and ability to build alignment and influence across internal functions, geographies, regions
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment or independently, as applicable, owning assignments a taking accountability for their success
  • Abides by policies and procedures to ensure consistency with the organization’s mission and directives
  • Familiarity with various types and sources of health care information, including financial information preferred
  • Knowledge of international reference pricing and the usage of pricing tools to build a launch sequence strategy is preferred
  • Knowledge of clinical trial designs preferred
  • Basic understanding of HEOR and its impact on pricing and access preferred
  • Strong knowledge of the Global access landscape and US managed markets environment, including major stakeholders (payers, IDNs, LPPs, GPOs, etc.) is preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 20% (global & domestic)
