Salary: c. £75,000 pa depending on experience.

Office based role in Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire





Responsible for managing the business planning processes to ensure robust business plans are submitted to the Daiichi Sankyo Head Office.


Support the Finance and Administration Director in the planning, resource allocation, and calculation of expected Return of Investment of key commercial decisions, as well as Sales Operation Planning and Patient Demand alignment processes.


Accountabilities / Measures:


Lead and manage the Company-wide business planning processes to ensure that robust and viable financial budgets and forecasts are submitted to Daiichi Sankyo Europe within agreed deadlines.


  • Key models and processes developed and managed driving Revenue, Profit and Cash flow metrics for Quarterly business Reviews, Budget and 5 year Plans.
  • Deadlines are clearly communicated and managed with the management team
  • Effective liaison with all relevant stakeholders, creation of templates, training?
  • Supporting the Commercial and Commercial Excellence team in the demand forecasting modelling
  • Final approval of business plans and anticipated return, obtained from Finance Director and Managing Director where appropriate.
  • Support review process with Daiichi Sankyo Europe, such as preparing the Affiliate Business Performance review presentations, and relevant financial back-up .

Close and effective Business Partner with key business stakeholders in order to evaluate the commercial returns of new business opportunities.

  • Proactively business partner to, build appropriate financial models and analysis, to show financial impacts and Return on Investments, as well as giving constructive challenge where appropriate, on key business opportunities as defined by the Management Committee.
  • Proactively seek to share and implement best practice with colleagues both in the same department, and across other departments if appropriate.
  • Support the Request for Proposal (RFP) process for key business decisions in line with Procurement policies and processes.

Finance support for the Supply Chain and Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes

  • Support Commercial Excellence and Supply Chain teams in the management of the S&OP and the Patient Demand Alignment (PDA) processes, as the key Finance representative, including the modelling, adaption and interpretation of the external data and the sales forecasting. Lead on driving the consensus of the future Validated Patient demand. (VPD). 
  • Support in the financial governance of the various rebate and price discounts, ensuring that DSUK maintains a clear control of price through the adherence to the DSUK Pricing strategy, governance of the contracts alongside the Head of Supply Chain, and maintains appropriate levels of accruals and forecasting of Gross to Net revenue. 
  • Development and ownership of overall rebate model, and manage reviews and revisions of the model.

Key support in delivering Business partnering and collaboration of finance with other departments within the company, especially Customer facing roles, and with regard to new business opportunities.


  • Partner effectively, building appropriate financial models and analysis, as well as giving constructive challenge where appropriate, on key business opportunities defined by the Management Committee.
  • Proactively seek to share best practice with colleagues both in the same department, and across other departments if appropriate, and implement best practice in own department.
  • Support on finance training to non-finance employees.

Ad-hoc financial analysis

  • Support the business on ad-hoc financial analysis needs.
  • Support on finance training to non-finance employees.
  • Contribute as a senior finance leader within the Finance and Administration team.





Essential -


  • Professionally qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ICAEW), 
  • Significant  post qualification experience in a commercial finance, and/or business partnering role
  • A commercial mindset and the ability to think and plan strategically
  • Expert user of Microsoft Excel – ability to create flexible financial models with various sensitivities.
  • Ability and flexibility to meet tight deadlines.
  • Ensure that quality and accuracy standards are consistently to the level expected
  • Continuously prioritise and manage an action list according to importance, complexity and deadlines.
  • Demonstrate a strong degree of customer centricity for both external and internal customers. 
  • High level of personal integrity.
  • Experience within Pharmaceuticals or FMCG sectors.
  • Continually seek further professional development and best practice


Desirable -


  • SAP system knowledge / experience
  • Degree - level education
  • Prior knowledge of the Qliksense reporting suite,
