The Position:

The goal of Procurement is to guarantee that DSE and its affiliates receive value for money across products and services that are required. Procurement manages the balance between cost, quality, and time. We achieve this by acting as trusted business partner of our internal and external stakeholders. Procurement leads and supports all procurement related processes and is responsible for the sourcing process. Junior Buyers (m/f/x) have a key role in supporting operational excellence.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership and actively manage the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) - Purchase Requisition (PR) to Purchase Order (PO) - process for the assigned projects within the Capex team in Pfaffenhofen
  • Provide hands-on support to the Capex team across all Pfaffenhofen procurement projects related to construction, equipment, maintenance and renovations
  • Initiate and follow-up on vendor creation if required by projects
  • Negotiate optimal terms and conditions with suppliers, leveraging know-how of the market and cost base of assigned categories for spend under ownership
  • Ensure high quality of Procurement master data in Procurement systems (SAP S/4HANA, Coupa, others)
  • Contribute to and support the DSE Operational Procurement team network
  • Participate in standardization and harmonization of processes and systems
  • Initiate and follow-through of digital contract signature process
  • Maintain communication & manage relationship with vendors to ensure service needs are met
  • Support the Capex Procurement team in executing sourcing activities (RFP) for projects of the Capex category
  • Contribute to Procurement success with savings, customer satisfaction, risk mitigation or fulfilling defined KPIs
  • Conduct all activities in accordance with DSE policies and procedures. Act as a role model in compliance management and in ensuring that all employees involved in procurement activities are adhering to company policies and procedures as well as all relevant external regulations (e.g. GxP/ SOX/ Data Prot./ HCP Comp./ ToV, ...)

 

Personal Skills and Professional Experience:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or vocational school, ideally with additional qualification or experience in Procurement. Previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a plus
  • Demonstrated expertise and working experience in Procurement
  • Strong execution and a demonstrated ability to manage multiple activities in parallel to completion
  • Team player and reliable partner with very good communication skills and “can do” - attitude
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, open to support other team members
  • Proven experience with IT tools such as MS Office, SAP and affinity to procurement systems
  • Uphold a high standard of integrity and intercultural competency
  • Business fluent written and spoken communications skills in German are mandatory, very good Englisch skills are a plus
