Business Relationship Manager (m/f/x)
Purpose of the function:
This role is responsible for strategic business partnering and advocacy with key stakeholders within the Technology Unit.
The Technology Unit is responsible for Daiichi Sankyo's 'craftsmanship’. It develops the pharmaceutical technologies necessary for the production of new drugs and is dedicated to ensuring product quality and a stable supply, from the investigational drugs used in clinical trials to the production of commercial products.”
The position involves close collaboration with the Head of Global Business Relationship Management (BRM) and Global Digital Transformation (DX) Business Partners to drive alignment and impact on a global scale.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Strategic Collaboration: Force strong partnerships with Technology Unit stakeholders to co-develop and integrate a shared vision and roadmap within the Digital Transformation (DX) strategy.
- Stakeholder Advocacy & Alignment: Serve as a key advocate for Technology Unit and Global DX, ensuring solutions align with business and DX objectives, while balancing company-wide IT needs.
- Demand Prioritization & Process: Define and prioritize requests from the Technology Unit according to business value, strategy, and resources, optimizing demand management processes.
- Communication & Collaboration: Act as a communication bridge, leading collaborative sessions and facilitating conflict resolution between Technology Unit and Global DX.
- Value Measurement & Change Management: Measure DX initiative success with KPIs, and support change management efforts to ensure effective technology adoption.
- Service Delivery & Oversight: Monitor and ensure quality DX/IT service delivery to the Technology Unit, prioritizing customer satisfaction.
- Deliverables Management: Oversee key BRM and DX deliverables, collaborating closely with Global DX and business leaders to ensure alignment and impact.
Personal skills and professional experience:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Information Systems or a related field
- At least 5 years or more extensive experience in a similar role, preferably within business or global digital transformation areas
- Proven experience in business relationship management, with a focus on stakeholder engagement and building strong, sustainable partnerships across multiple business units
- Solid background in planning and executing digital transformation initiatives
- Comprehensive knowledge of corporate functions within the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries
- Strong strategic thinking skills, with the ability to connect IT initiatives to broader business outcomes
- Up-to-date knowledge of technology advancements, best practices in digital transformation, and business relationship management
- Business Relationship Management Professional (BRMP®) certification is preferred
- Strong ability to analyze very complex situations in unknown environments
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, international team environment with multiple priorities
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentations skills in English and German
