As a Commercial Business Intelligence Manager, you'll work in a cross-functional team to create data intelligence solutions using internal and external data sources. You find challenges exciting and enjoy discovering and defining problems as much as solving them. You are a cross-disciplinary team member and excited to work with and learn from other Data Engineers and Business Intelligence experts. You are comfortable communicating across teams. You are resourceful, flexible and adaptable. Finally, you'll help bring selected products to production and scale.

Roles & responsibilities:
• Act as a key developer contributing to our reporting & data landscape from our cloud data warehouse to a Power BI cloud-based solution
• Support the blueprint of the target architecture of our cloud landscape in collaboration with our IT team
• Support the business customers with their commercial requirements by translating it into business intelligence solutions
• Collaborating closely with internal and external colleagues in a DevOps environment to ensure our infrastructure is suitable for the business needs
• Development of business rules in the reporting backend of our commercial data warehouse
• Develop & optimize business intelligence reports & datasets mainly in Power BI focusing on functionality, storytelling, and user experience
• Provide trainings and seminars to our commercial customers on our BI and data landscape
• Act as owner of existing report and data products and be responsible for maintenance, adjustments and optimization
• Assume responsibility for coordinating, implementing and testing new business requirements and specific functionalities and manage user acceptance tests
• Monitoring external data deliveries including data format and quality checking
• Provide ad-hoc analyses to our commercial customers as per their requirements
• Optional: Support our affiliates in their reporting needs
Travel requirements: Up to 10%
Professional experience & education:
• University or Bachelor’s degree required: Computer Science, MIS or Engineering preferred
• Minimum of 3 years working experience in the data and business intelligence field with a strong technical understanding
• Strong experience working with databases and data warehouses (SQL knowledge)
• Experience with Snowflake & dbt preferred
• Experience in implementing services and solutions using cloud services (ideally Azure)
• Very experienced with data visualization tools such as Power BI
• Conceptual knowledge of data and analytics, such as dimensional modeling, data governance, data warehousing, structured and unstructured data
• Experience with one additional programming language such as R, Python or C++ would be beneficial
• Experience in project management

• Commercial mindset and motivation to acquire a certain level of business understanding
• Passionate about agile ways of working, data driven development, reliability and cross-functional working environments
• Excellent language proficiency in English (at least C1) and intercultural competence
