Compliance Officer (m/f/x)


Purpose of the function:

The Compliance Officer (Awareness & Training) supports the Compliance Management Department on HQ level to design, develop, implement, and evaluate the Daiichi Sankyo Compliance program and its operational implementation across Europe. The focus of this role is to self-responsibly oversee the development and implementation of a comprehensive training strategy and annual training plans for DSE and its affiliates to prevent violations of applicable law, regulations, rules and ethical standards by employees, agents and others and to ensure that corporate processes remain compliant and up to date with external as well as Daiichi Sankyo internal regulatory requirements, primarily in the field of healthcare interaction


Key responsibilities:

Awareness & Training

  • Ensure training curriculum meets the diverse needs of the audiences it serves. Oversee the development of training modules, in person training, mini-cases training, etc., ensuring a high standard of quality. Ensure the accurate and complete capture of training records
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and creativity in the development and delivery of training programs
  • Ensure conduct of continuous needs assessments of the organization to address training gaps. Areas of focus for training will include adherence to policies, procedures and other applicable standards but also mindset in the area of healthcare compliance such as payments to HCPs, promotion, medical affairs activities and travel & entertainment
  • Align with and supervise DSE affiliates for harmonization of applicable Compliance relevant awareness & training measures to ensure proper execution of the annual training plans


Knowledge Management & Communication

  • Provide advice and support within DSE regarding healthcare compliance environment and address employee concerns or questions on legal and regulatory compliance
  • Enhance and further develop compliance tools and job aids (e.g. Q&A-lists), electronic and paper-based, to assist employees across the organization in the field of healthcare compliance


Business Collaboration, Advisory & Special Projects

  • Support the GC & CCO Europe to manage various top priority, complex and multi-dimensional compliance relevant projects that may be assigned to self or team including from a global perspective
  • Offering and provide guidance to business partners in assessing appropriateness of marketing programs, engagements with healthcare professionals, healthcare organizations and patient organizations, patients or patient advocacy groups with regulatory requirements to achieve business objectives in a compliant and ethical manner


Professional experience and personal skills:

  • University Degree in Economics ideally Legal
  • Well trained in compliance policies, procedures, standards and obligations, ideally in-depth knowledge of the Pharma industry standards and regulations
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • A passion and enthusiasm for Continuous Learning
  • A team player, open minded, flexible, proactive, motivated and willing to learn and develop
  • High customer service orientation and solutions-driven approach
  • English and German - business fluent, written and spoken as an everyday standard
  • Proven experience in IT tools, e.g. eLMS, with high degree of business orientation and MS Office programs
  • Occasional travelling (with focus in Europe) will be required
