UX/UI Designer Digital Innovation Hub (m/f/x)


The position:

Daiichi Sankyo Europe is creating a Digital Innovation Hub to accelerate the development and scaling of digital solutions across our European organization. The Digital Innovation Hub acts as an internal solution incubator and serves as a catalyst for Daiichi Sankyo Europe to deliver best-in-class customer experience for relevant digital content, solutions and services by knowing medical professionals and their patient needs best.

UX/UI and service design are your second nature and you're convinced that compelling customer experience starts with insights and closely listening to customers to get the big picture. You've experienced that digital experiences (content, campaigns, solutions) can only be compelling when they’re simple, engaging and personalized to the needs and preferences of single customers/ customer groups.


You directly report into the Head of Digital Innovation Hub and will closely collaborate with Commercial Operations to build a comprehensive engagement strategy. You're key responsibilities are to create awareness for and continously increase our executional excellence in the early phases of the innovation funnel, i.e. ideation, co-creation, prototyping. You  act as an ambassador for UX/UI design and user centric thinking in order to evolve our organizationational capabilities towards a structured and hypothesis-driven solution development and deployment. You help to define success metrics in order to maximize value creation. You enjoy working in agile implementation projects, using different design methods and learning from market leader best practices to continuosly improve yourself and the content, solution & services provided to our customers.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver compelling customer experience (on- and offline) for value-add services for medical professionals and their patients
  • Understand and translate customer needs into themes, initiatives, epics and user stories which cater to the respective customer journeys
  • Collaborate with external partners in mid-to late stages of the innovation funnel, i.e. MVP, product-market fit pilots etc.
  • First point of contact for service and UX design. You delight our customers through innovative & appealing design and clear-cut value-add
  • You close the loop between commercial business and the customer by analyzing customer/user behavior and the impact of our content, services, products and interactions on the customer. Increased customer loyalty is the result of your support
  • You design the vision and strategy for all digital products drives user acquisition, customer engagement and finally product growth
  • Passion and deep knowledge of service design for digital experiences and high proficiency in common design and illustration tools


Personal skills and professional experience:

  • University degree in Innovation Management, Information Design, Marketing, IT or Digital Media or comparable degree
  • 5+ y experience in e-commerce, digital (management) consultancy, tech company and/or a digital pharma unit
  • Ability to convey concepts through wireframes, flows and mockups (UX, UI, IA, Communication design)
  • UX expertise in user research & interviews, user journeys, personas, digital prototypes, user acceptance tests etc.
  • Fluent in prototyping
  • Deep knowledge of service design for digital experiences, e.g. mobile apps, websites, IoT, software applications etc. with underlying different technology enablers and architecture
  • Fluent in latest visual design and illustration tools, such as but not limited to Sketch, InDesign, Illustrator
  • High level of commitment, collaboration and an integrative personality
  • Excellent language proficiency in English (at least C1)
  • International work experience
