Director Market Insights (m/f/x)



The Position:

When others talk about complex interrelationships, the Director Market Insights (m/f/x) talks about logical connection. With his/her analytical and structured mindset, the Director Market Insights (m/f/x) supports analyzing and understanding business opportunities. He/She provides the framework to drive fact based business decisions and drives result by transforming data into effective business plans.


The successful candidate will be responsible for generating insights to support the launch preparation of Bempedoic Acid (BA) and the growth of the CV portfolio. He/she will ensure market and customer insights are enabling decision making of Senior Management and marketeers by distilling insights into recommandation to support strong CV brands. He/she thinks and works strategically, is able to steer several projects at the same time and has a strong focus on the customers. Not only he/she brings her analytical skills but capability to challenge the brand teams and the status quo. He will work together with the Brand leads and European Directors to steer strategic direction to the portfolio. He/she will report to the head of cardiovascular marketing Europe.


Key responsibilities:

  • Supports the BA Launch preparation and brand development
    • Owns the insights generation plan (both primary and secondary sources) and execute against the plan with quality on a timely manner
    • Builds insights into clear and synthetic recommendations for senior management decision making
    • Delivers recommendation based on customer and market insights to develop strong brand positioning, value proposition and story
    • Constantly challenge the Launch team based on insights
  • Supports Strategic planning for the portfolio
    • Provides the brand team with a clear overview of EU market evolution and competitive landscape
    • Delivers core implications of market evolution and competitor landscape to the Brand teams to develop Brand plans
    • Integrates the core implications into business planning and forecasting (volume and value)
  • Prepares the future
    • Provides insights to enable the Brand team to make recommendation on LCM and business opportunities to maximize brand value for the customers
    • Collect insights on market events and competitive entries
    • Proactively identify and define MI and CI needs, information gaps and generate insights to fill them


Professional experience and personal skills:

  • MBA/ marketing degree or equivalent in life sciences
  • At least 5 years experience
  • Successful experience in similar role at local or international level
  • Both analytical and strategic skills
  • Capability to lead complex projects
  • Good communication skills
  • Experience to work cross-cultural teams
  • Ability to work in English - fluent written and spoken, additional language is a plus
