European Market Access & Pricing Director Oncology (m/f/x) 
 

The position:

The European Market Access & Pricing (MA&P) Director Oncology leads the development and implementation of the European Market Access strategies for Daiichi Sankyo's Oncology multi-indication asset in Alliance with our partner. The European MA&P Director Oncology will partner with cross-functional teams to develop winning strategies and maximize the value of the Oncology portfolio for Daiichi-Sankyo. This position reports to the European Market Access Oncology Lead. 

 

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Leads the European access strategy development and supports flawless implementation in European markets for his/her product

  • Fosters close collaboration with EU-4 & UK markets to ensure appropriate input into and implementation of strategies that will lead to successful access and reimbursement in these markets

  • Contribute to the pricing and market access strategy by analysing, synthesizing, and translating technical P&MA information into meaningful recommendations and tactics in line with the overall product value strategy

  • Drive strategic planning around pricing, government reimbursement initiatives, effectively and efficiently within the Daiichi Sankyo Europe matrix organization

  • Interfaces with regional and key country teams including market access, medical, HEOR& RWE and commercial on matters of pricing and market access ensuring alignment with global counterparts

  • Inputs and helps shape the global value propositions and if required adapts to support the regional market access strategy

  • Work closely with global price, reimbursement, and access to provide European insights into and help influence the clinical development programs to ensure indication seeking trials have endpoints and design that support broad patient access

  • Ensures price guidance and corridors are in place, in close collaboration with global and key countries, including evaluation of Innovative Value Strategies and contracting

  • Accountable for the development of the regional Access Strategies and payer toolkit to support launch 

  • Effectively navigate matrix organization to develop and maintain positive relationships with other functional areas and Market Access colleagues as well as external partner to drive alignment, consistency where appropriate, best practice sharing, and flawless implementation of all Market Access activities

  • Establishes and promotes positive and highly productive working partnerships with Commercial, R&D and global colleagues to ensure timely coordination of activities to drive delivery of plans and programs

  • Effectively represents Daiichi Sankyo at major external meetings, including payer Ad Boards, internal workshops, and conferences

Personal skills and professional experience:

  • University degree (e.g., master’s degree in economics, pharmaceutical sciences, or similar level)

  • Relevant and demonstrable experience in Pricing & Market Access at country and above country level in a pharmaceutical company (or related such as medical devices); at least 6-8 years

  • Deep understanding of the EU4 & UK Market Access needs 

  • Prior experience in working in Oncology portfolio is a must

  • Experience in Alliances and multi-indication medicines is a plus
