European Talent & Acquisition Partner (m/f/x)

 

The position:

The job holder designs and drives DS Europe`s talent acquisition and onboarding operations to align them with business needs and ensures that talent placement contributes effectively to the firm’s strategic capability development. This includes the management of the complete recruitment process lifecycle, candidate sourcing and assessment, hiring practices, and effective employer brand development. 
The incumbent will work on the company's workforce planning efforts including organizational talent forecasting, internal talent pipelining, career progression, and research of trends in the marketplace which impact recruitment or retention efforts. 
The job holder works in close collaboration with the HR leadership team and Business Leaders, especially when designing a partnering architecture with talent acquisition stakeholders like schools, universities or research institutions for the development of a long term talent pipeline. The incumbent defines strategic talent acquisition needs in terms of principles and priorities for vendor selection and appropriate channel-design (e.g. job fairs, social media recruiting strategy etc.). Employer branding effectiveness will be achieved by close cooperation with DS Europe’s marketing function. The individual will be instrumental in designing an employee-referral system for talent acquisition within DS Europe.


Roles and responsibilities:

  • Provide senior executive level human resources advice to deploy talent strategies in support of achieving the talent and workforce needs of DS Europe

  • Design an integrated multichannel European talent acquisition process to meet challenging growth plans and comply with all applicable regulations

  • Manage and direct all aspects of talent acquisition and onboarding to focus on driving a personalized candidate experience

  • Create uniform and transparent talent acquisition policies and procedures across the organization

  • Provide advice on the proper mix of internal and external resources needed to meet DS hiring goals, especially develop and implement strategic guidance for using external partners or vendors

  • Exercise influence and advocacy in a virtual matrix organization with stakeholders at different levels (local, regional, corporate and with our global colleagues in Japan and US)

Personal skills and professional experience:

  • > 5 years’ experience in talent / recruiting / employee engagement 
  • University degree in business psychology, human resources management or business management
  • Critical thinking and innovative mindset
  • Highly developed communication skills
  • Compassionate, high emotional intelligence
  • Experience working in complex/matrixed organization, demonstrated ability to collaborate and create consensus
  • Demonstrated experience with change management and conflict management
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience in partnering with senior leadership, and the ability to 'performance consult' in senior settings
  • A sense of autonomous judgement as what intervention will generate the greatest impact for our business, both immediately and/or longer term
  • Fluent in English and German, other European languages appreciated (Spanish/French/English)
  • Travel within Europe required
