Human Rights Manager (m/f/x) 

The position:

At Daiichi Sankyo, we are fully committed to avoiding causing or contributing to adverse human rights and environmental impacts, whether by action or omission, through our own operations or supply chain, and addressing such impacts. Therefore, to strengthen and further develop human rights due diligence in our global supply chain, we are seeking to recruit a Human Rights Manager (f/m/d).

In this position, you will be empowered to support the enforcement of human rights, social, and environmental due diligence requirements for the European scope of Daiichi Sankyo Europe’s suppliers. You will have an exciting cross-functional coordination role in an international setting, and the key to your success will be collaboration with procurement and various other functions on the European and global levels. Beyond the overall coordination task regarding supplier due diligence, managing human rights within the company's supply chain will be the core of your responsibility.

You will be part of the DSE Legal team and report directly to the General Counsel and Human Rights Officer Europe. The position is located in Munich, Germany.

 

Roles & responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and advise on DSE Group level to meet and maintain DSE’s corporate due diligence obligations, aiming to avoid human rights and environmental risks, and conduct impact assessments and risk analyses.

  • Develop strategies for the implementation of sustainability projects concerning human rights and environmental risk mitigation, integrating them into existing processes.

  • Define and monitor supply chain-related KPIs, document human rights compliance issues and measures in the supply chain, and lead internal and external reporting (e.g., according to the Act on Corporate Due Diligence Obligations in Supply Chains).

  • Provide general support to multidisciplinary teams on all human rights issues within the supply chain, implement preventive measures, maintain supply chain-related human rights policies, develop human rights (e-) learning content and campaigns for suppliers, etc.

  • Support the coordination of audits at suppliers when necessary, including follow-up on corrective action plans.

 

Professional experience & education:

  • Initial professional experience in sustainability reporting or several years of experience in the field of sustainability (CSRD/ESRS, GRI, TCFD, UN Guiding Principles for Business and Human Rights, or EU Taxonomy).

  • Project management skills and experience in a cross-functional role, preferably in an international group setup.

  • Entrepreneurial thinking, as well as good comprehension and a structured way of working, with a high degree of initiative and service mentality.

  • Proven interdisciplinary work ability and team orientation, as well as a sense of responsibility, high commitment, and willingness to occasional travel.

  • Intercultural awareness and diplomatic skills.

  • Outstanding personal integrity and trustworthiness.

  • Very good communication skills; English language proficiency is a must.
