Senior Data Platform Engineer (m/f/x)

Purpose of the function:  

The job holder will be responsible for the design of technical data pipelines and flows and further implementation on data analytics platform. You should enjoy developing projects and being part of challenging digitization projects.


You should have a strong knowledge of the Microsoft Azure Platform in combination with Snowflake as a Data Analytics solution.


This is an opportunity for right person to join at the beginning of our Data and Analytics journey to influence the planning at an early stage of the new data and analytics platform.

                                                
Roles and responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and improve the data pipelines, ELT/ETL frameworks for the data analytics platform
  • Develop batch and real-time analytical solutions, prototypes, and proofs of concept for selected solutions
  • Integrate our tools into seamless and efficient processes
  • Help building our data analytics platform serving variety of applications and users
  • Help growing our team by providing mentoring and promoting standards and best practices
  • Implement complex analytical projects with a focus on collecting, managing and analyzing data
  • Be in constant communication with team members and other relevant parties and convey results efficiently and clearly

                                
Personal skills and professional experience:

  • Master or bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or a related study (or equivalent project-related experience)
  • A minimum 5 years in IT, with at least 3 years in data engineering team
  • Authoritative in ETL /ELT optimization, designing, coding, and tuning data pipelines
  • Expert knowledge of SQL and Python
  • Cloud experience with Microsoft Azure
  • Experience with modern data processing tools and frameworks
  • Experience with automated deployment and CI/CD pipelines
  • Sound knowledge of distributed systems and data architecture - design and implement batch and stream data processing pipelines, knows how to optimize the distribution, partitioning, and MPP (Teradata, Snowflake, Greenplum) of high-level data structures
  • Demonstrate the ability to work well with internal IT and business teams and external partners
  • Must have an excellent understanding of data warehouse methods and procedures and data architectures and technologies
  • Have a track record of remaining unbiased toward specific technologies or vendors
  • Be an excellent communicator and collaborator, engaging with multiple technical and business stakeholders and leaders
  • Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies
  • Display intellectual curiosity and integrity
