We are seeking highly qualified candidates to fill the position:

Innovation Scout & Digital Health Business Development Senior Manager (m/f/x) 

The Position:

The role is responsible for identifying emerging digital health  technologies, start-ups, and trends aligned to Daiichi Sankyo (Europe) innovation and corporate objectives, contributing to the  fulfilment of our ambition and aspirations in the digital health space. The role involves collecting, assessing and leveraging insights based on specified project requirements. It includes proactively & reactively scouting the market to identify potential matches and actively participating in evaluating and structuring deals. Additionally, the role entails supporting discussions and negotiations with prospective new partners.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Market analysis & Scouting

• Establish and manage holistic trend management to spot risks & opportunity spaces in strategically and commercially relevant areas and translate them into a scouting roadmap
• Identify, describe and evaluate new technologies and market trends/opportunities with the potential to change existing or to trigger new customer needs/preferences
• Assess impact of identified trends on in-house knowledge, skills and tools. Identify potential gaps and act as supporter to affected functions/teams on possibilities to react/ close the gaps

Business development

• Evaluates potential business partners and support activities related to deal making  in alignment with key internal and external stakeholders
• Seeks out trending insights about evolving healthcare ecosystem stakeholders and makes recommendations where new innovative opportunities are discovered
• Proactively develops professional network with key stakeholders across the healthcare ecosystem and uses these relationships to drive performance and add value
• Maintains good knowledge of current best practice in the field of digital health, and the operational/practical aspects of digital health solution/service implementation
• Maintains up to date disease area knowledge, care pathways, guidance relevant to Daiichi Sankyo Europe product portfolio

Education & Professional Experience:

• Understanding of digital health technologies, and relevant compliance, regulatory and legal requirements
• 5+ years of experience in similar role gained in a pharmaceutical/medical device / healthtech industry and good understanding of healthcare environment and policy
• Strong affinity for trends, innovation, technology and digital healthcare is a key differentiator
• Proven  innovation project management experience and knowledge of common tools and techniques required for start-up & trend scouting
• Excellent networker and well connected within the start-up and digital (health) ecosystem
• Well organised and methodical, prepared to be ‘hands on’ to deliver project success. International work experience in matrix organizations and/or multicultural teams
• Excellent language proficiency in English (at least C1)
