For the growing Oncology unit in our German organization Daiichi Sankyo Deutschland GmbH we are seeking highly qualified candidates to fill the position: 

Key Account Manager Oncology (m/f/x) Magdeburg/ Erfurt

The Position:

The Key Account Manager Oncology works as part of the Daiichi Sankyo German oncology team within the local cross-functional team. She/he is expected to develop and execute territory-specific strategic account plans in close collaboration with the local cross-functional team and our alliance partner AstraZeneca to continue a successful launch of Daiichi’s Oncology pipeline with Enhertu ® (Trastuzumab deruxtecan) as the first molecule which has been launched  in metastatic breast cancer and other entities. 
In the defined region, the KAM Oncology will be responsible for the business results as well as ensuring its growth in alignment with the company strategic plan. She/he will actively collaborate within the crossfunctional team to drive extensive engagement of HCPs and other key external stakeholders to create a receptive environment for DS Oncology assets and achieve the agreed sales targets. She/he will report directly to the First Line Sales Manager Oncology of the area.                                                        

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement integrated local account plans to support the successful achievement of all critical targets related to Enhertu ® (Trastuzumab deruxtecan) and the future oncology pipeline in close cross-functional collaboration with the crossfunctional account team  and our alliance partner AstraZeneca
  • Achieving pre- and post-launch objectives and sales targets
  • Develop strong relationships with identified target stakeholders on the basis of Daiichi-Sankyo´s customer centricity focus, trust and perceived added value to the customer in the form of personal expertise
  • Adapt traditional sales models to the changing needs and expectations of customers to ensure strong customer loyalty and long-term success for the company.
  • Creating seamless and effective communication between Daiichi Sankyo and its customers via the omnichannel approach and integrating different communication channels for a holistic customer experience.
  • Visit oncologists and gyneco-oncologists to communicate on product information 
  • Coordinate the deployment of resources locally within the framework of a local cross-functional team and our alliance partner AstraZeneca
  • Identify, develop and secure new and existing oncology business opportunities within the territory to drive demand and sales
  • Regularly shares best practice with internal peers and alliance partners
  • Use KAM selling skills and understanding to secure the oncology business for a mutually beneficial outcome for Daiichi Sankyo, the alliance partner and customers
  • Identify the customer´s need for scientific projects to help to establish Daiichi Sankyo as a trusted partner in oncology and improve patient outcomes; support implementation with medical colleagues
  • Drives the development and implementation of local projects and events
  • Cross-functional cooperation with medical, marketing, PR, market access and other functions
  • Ensure the budget control and monitoring of local activities
  • Conducts all activities in accordance with the applicable laws, rules and regulations
  • Documentation of activities and insights in CRM tool

Professional experience & Education:

  • Scientific background (PharmD, MD, or other scientific degree) 
  • Expertise in accordance with Section 75 of the German Medicines Act (§75 Arzneimittelgesetz)
  • Several years of experience as pharmaceutical representative, preferably in oncology,  hematology or specialty pharma
  • Prior knowledge of the customers in the defined sector is a plus
  • Knowledge of local pharmaceutical industry and legal/health system environment, including pricing, re-imbursement and access
  • Dynamic, structured and committed to work in a matrix team
  • Strong communication skills and presentation confidence
  • High self-motivation, assertiveness and goal orientation
  • "Hands on" mentality 
  • Very good spoken and written skills in German plus good English skills
  • MS-Office skills, openness to advances in IT landscape and CRM tools
  • Experience with Sales activities using an Omnichannel approach is a plus
