Legal Counsel (m/f/x)

Purpose of the function:

The function reports to the Head of Legal Europe and provides legal advice to different functions and hierarchy levels of Daiichi Sankyo Europe (DSE). 

As a member of a team of highly motivated legal professionals, the ideal candidate is able to familiarize quickly with different areas of law and is willing to act as a reliable partner for business in a dynamic and growing company that provides opportunities for creative leeway and personal growth. 

As an employee of a company that is focused on improving life for patients, the job holder of the Legal Counsel position should be willing to reach beyond the own legal sphere and show interest also in scientific and product related topics.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Drafting, negotiating and reviewing of contracts from different business areas
• Providing legal advice to different business areas of the company    
• Accompanying Daiichi Sankyo’s growth process from a legal perspective    
• Ensuring legal support for bringing pipeline products to the market
• Developing and conducting of legal trainings (incl. eLearnings) for employees
• Supporting the digitalization process in the Legal department    

Personal skills and professional experience:

• EU qualified lawyer with at least basic knowledge of German law
• 3 to 5 years’ experience in an international company or law firm, ideally in the pharmaceutical sector
• Fluent in English and German, other European languages would be an advantage 
• Willingness to learn and develop, also beyond legal sphere
• Strong communication skills
• High affinity to LegalTech
• Team player with a hands-on mentality and a customer centric mindset
