We are seeking highly qualified candidates to fill the global position:

Manager Payroll (m/f/x)

The Position:

The role is responsible for managing, coordinating and overseeing operational payroll activities. While focusing on our German payroll, you also oversee payroll projects and you support the European payroll approach. You are key to drive our payroll initiatives, compliance and auditing ability related to payroll.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the operational support, consultation and management of operational payroll activities, especially processes and projects for our German entities
  • Consultation in tax, labor- and social security law topics as well as payroll related projects and processes 
  • Accompanying audit activities ensuring compliance in all aspects 
  • Ensuring wages are paid out on time and tax and social security deadlines are adhered to, supporting employees and managers with payroll accounting, annual financial statements and tax is an essential part of this role
  • Working closely with the external service provider managing the ongoing payroll and internal stakeholder especially on the personnel master data is essential and a proactive communication with functional stakeholder such as HR Operations, Tax, Finance, Accounting, HRIT on a regular base
  • Company regulations, collective bargaining agreements and and/or works council regulations are managed related to payroll activities
  • Creation of valuable reports and statistics for authorities, among others
  • Consider market practice, drive development and implement payroll related legal requirements
  • Close and trustful collaboration with the external payroll service provider and internal stakeholder

Education & Experience:

  • Successfully completed apprenticeship as tax clerk or tax specialist, Personalkauffrau/-mann (IHK certification) or Bachelor Degree in Business Administration with focus on HR, Tax or comparable
  • 5+ years work experience within the functional area of HR, Payroll
  • Expert knowledge in (at least) one of the following areas: Tax, Payroll, Compensation, HR Operations
  • In-depth relevant knowledge of labor law, tax, social security and works constitution law
  • Good communication skills paired with an absolute service and hands-on mentality
  • Very good analytical skills as well as affinity for numbers and data
  • Expertise in project management and ability to design and evaluate processes
  • Very good MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint), knowledge of ADP (Global View), SAP HCM, SAP SuccessFactors; forcont business technology advantageous
  • Very good knowledge of German and English
