Senior HR Business Partner Europe (m/f/x)


The Position:
The Senior HR Business Partner (m/f/x) is a member of the HR team, understands the strategic and operational business challenges and is part of the development of the European business and HR strategies. He/she links business with HR and is accountable for the definition and implementation of HR initiatives and projects in close collaboration with the SVP HR and local HR Directors in Europe. He/she is the HR partner for the non-commercial department heads and is responsible for the delivery of the full spectrum of HR management solutions and services in a transforming commercial business environment.


Key responsibilities:

  • Key HR representative, single point of contact, coach and sparring partner to senior business managers (non-commercial departments)
  • Ensures that business strategies with focus on customer centricity are supported and executed by HR programs & processes to ensure competitive advantages (such as recruiting the right talents, leadership, talent and performance management, creation of best place to work, encouraging collaboration & employee empowerment)
  • Ensuring trustful employer relations with social partners
  • Links business to HR portfolio and functions in the European matrix
  • Leads change management programs
  • Contributes to the development of the European HR function and organization (structure, standardization, automatization, technology, KPI's)
  • Close partnership with local workers council
  • Leads a small team of HRBPs and HR specialists


Professional experience and personal skills:

  • 6-8 years of relevant experience as Senior HR Business Partner in an international environment
  • Knowledge in organizational development and change management
  • Experienced in working in an international matrix organization
  • Strong business acumen, ideally developed in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Very good knowledge of labour law and works constitution law
  • High communication and collaboration skills across different hierarchy levels and regions
  • Proven project management and people management skills
  • Strategic thinking, strong analytical and conceptual skills
  • Fluency in English and German mandatory, other European languages an advantage
