Senior Manager Data Privacy (m/f/x)

 

As part of the team, the applicant is a necessary interface between the company and the Data Protection Officer and acts as a role model in the area of data protection. 

 

Tasks:

  • Actively support the Data Privacy Team in providing comprehensive legal advice on data privacy in accordance with APL 011.0 for both Daiichi Sankyo Europe and its European subsidiaries
  • Act as a European point of contact for data privacy issues across the global Daiichi Sankyo Group
  • Drafting, reviewing, evaluating and adapting contracts and contractual clauses relating to data protection in German and English as well as implementing data protection-related standard processes in the company
  • Preparing, updating and adapting data protection documents
  • Acting as contact person for all data protection related issues, including drafting the required documents, concluding / commenting / reviewing contracts with third parties regarding appropriate data protection and documentation and management of all data transfer agreements
  • Advising the European subsidiaries including coordination of the local data protection contact persons and, if available, local data protection officers
  • Continuous monitoring of legislative developments in the area of data protection (national/international) as well as cooperation with external/international law firms where required in individual cases
  • Support in data protection monitoring and compliance with data protection regulations in the company
  • Continuous expansion of the level of data protection in the company, in particular through employee sensitization, including the conception, development and implementation of employee training courses on the subject of data protection (classroom training), or coordination of the creation of e-learning content by external third parties and coordination of Europe-wide training courses in data protection

 

Skills and Requirements:

  • Law or Commercial Law degree in Germany or other EU country
  • 5-8 years of experience in a legal department of an international company or in a law firm advising such companies
  • Fluent business English (oral and written) 
  • Expert knowledge of European data protection law
  • Enjoy communicating directly with people and be able to explain complex legal issues in an understandable way 
  • A high level of problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a team as well as assertiveness
  • Ability to work independently, strong intercultural skills
