Senior Manager European Talent Partner (m/f/x)


The position:

To strengthen our European Talent Management team located at our global headquarters in Munich, we are looking for a motivated and innovative Talent Management Expert. 
The Senior Manager European Talent Partner is responsible for supporting the Head of Learning and Talent Management in driving the design, implementation and adoption of Talent Management' processes and mindset across the company. The incumbent is a key member of the Learning & Talent Management Team and will play an active role in crafting the way we approach people and organizational growth and development at Daiichi Sankyo.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop and implement talent assessment and succession planning strategy. Partner with senior leaders and their relevant HRBPs to develop robust succession slates and supporting development strategies for the Key positions in the organization

  • Develop and implement the Strategic Workforce Planning (SWP) process and tools. Partner with HRBPs, TA and business leaders in developing and executing on the SWP plans

  • Lead talent review process and assessment. Monitors follow up of post talent review actions. Promotes completion of the talent profile tool

  • Partner with senior leaders to identify and manage high potential employees, key positions, and mission critical talent

  • Lead the process design, facilitate, and document the identification of key successors, critical talent, and high potentials. Ensure the documentation of replacement, retention, and development plans for these target groups. Create processes to ensure that development plans are acted upon and reviewed on a regular basis

  • Profound consulting and business partnering experience

  • Exercise influence and advocacy in a virtual matrix organization with stakeholders at different levels (local, regional, corporate and with our global colleagues in Japan and US)

  • Being a trusted partner towards HR Leaders, enabling the people plan through a robust talent and leadership plan

Personal skills and professional experience:

  • > 8-10 years experience in leadership / talent / organisation development

  • University degree in business psychology, human resources management or business management

  • Strong project management skills

  • Experience partnering with senior leadership, and the ability to 'performance consult' in senior settings

  • Proven track record to drive impact in similar roles 

  • Strong intercultural collaboration competencies

  • A sense of autonomous judgement as what intervention will generate the greatest impact for our business, both immediately and / or longer term

  • Fluent in English and German, other European languages appreciated (Spanish / French / English)

  • Proven learning agility, openness for new approaches

  • Travel within Europe required
