Senior Manager Pharma PR and Campaigning (m/f/x)


Purpose of the function 

This is a position for an experienced PR or campaign manager who loves to create and drive omnichannel PR activities to increase cardiovascular disease awareness and company reputation within the ethical pharma environment. The role requires a strategic and holistic mindset in addition to a hands-on approach. We are looking for candidates with strong consulting and operational capabilities who are able to contribute a fresh perspective and new approaches to PR, create and implement impactful campaigns across Europe, and deliver relevant and measurable outcomes across external and internal audiences. The position reports into the PR & Portfolio Communications Lead, Specialty Medicines Europe.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver campaigns, external engagement, and PR initiatives at European level for our Specialty Medicines Business Division (cardiovascular portfolio) with a focus on disease awareness, public health and company reputation

  • Orchestrate media relations and campaign activities (including events)

  • Co-create and support stakeholder engagement in the Cardiovascular area with cross-functional teams

  • Develop and implement media relations activities at portfolio level both internally and externally and facilitate country-level activation

  •  Oversee qualitative and quantitative measurement of PR results and outcomes, based on business strategy and objectives

  • Ensure that programs and projects are delivered to the highest quality standards

  • Facilitate alignment with Corporate Communications, as well as cross-functional and leadership teams to drive consistent presence of the company in the Cardiovascular area

  • Liaise and coordinate with internal communications resources and manage agencies to deliver against PR, campaign and communications goals                                                    

Personal skills and professional experience:    

  • Completed university studies and a minimum of 5 years of experience with demonstrable career progression within PR and Communications roles, preferably including campaigning experience in the healthcare or pharma sectors 

  • Knowledge and experience in the Cardiovascular field preferred

  • High level (business fluent) of written and verbal communication skills in English obligatory

  • Strong writing skills for all relevant text forms

  • Ability to get quickly acquainted with complex topics and to communicate these to different target groups 

  • Experience with external stakeholders, influencers, and campaign audiences incl. media representatives

  • Understanding of regulatory, legal and scientific aspects of prescription medicines 

  • Understanding of digital channels and trends in healthcare communication incl. social media

  • High degree of personal accountability and sense of ownership while being an integral part of a small team
