Senior Project Manager Oncology MSC (m/f/x)


The Position:

The candidate will be reporting to the Regional BU Head of Mid-sized Countries (MSC - AT, CH, PT, IE, NL, BE and TK). The role will support the Regional BU Head and the MSC Leadership Team in business processes and support the Mid-sized Country teams in project management and optimization of business activities.


Key responsibilities:

  • Supports the Regional BU Head MSC in the design, development, and maintenance of a management dashboard for the Mid-sized Countries 

  • Responsible for aligning with and supporting the country teams in the processes of Brand Planning and Launch Readiness, to guarantee a flawless local execution

  • Aligns cross-functionally with the other members of the Regional HQ MSC team, shares relevant news and data among functions and cascades appropriate curated information to the countries so to keep them always up to speed and focused

  • Responsible for supporting the Regional BU Head’s administrative/organizational tasks in an independent goal-oriented way in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. (e.g., organization of internal and external meetings, evaluation, design, planning and implementation of the launch meetings/events for MSC, etc.)

  • Maintains tracking and facilitates the advancement of the different activities and projects for the MSC (e.g., internal activities, different project deliverables, projects status, track deliverables, flag deadlines, delays, and risks) 

  • Ensures compliance with applicable company procedures/processes for all the activities/projects directly supervised

  • Supports the budget and forecast processes for the Regional HQ MSC team

  • Supports the MSC Leadership Team in the design, development, and maintenance of platforms for sharing best practices among the Mid-sized countries

  • Supports the MSC Leadership Team in organizing and running the yearly MSC event 

  • Stays abreast of the emerging trends in the industry and proactively screens external vendors, agencies, and partners to identify innovative solutions to the challenges of the MSC team 

  • Assists in the organization of internal and project related meetings including the coordination of appointments, support in the preparation of presentations and minutes

  • Occasionally supports the European team in region-wide activities and projects


Professional experience and personal skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, economics, or related field; alternatively, an adequate qualification with relevant experience might be considered

  • Several years of experience in a consulting company; experience in pharmaceutical, biotech or medical technology industry is a strong advantage

  • Proven experience in operational processes and project management, including knowledge of the relevant tools

  • Strong accountability with demonstrated ability to work in teams, ideally in a cross-functional environment, as well as autonomously without constant monitoring

  • Analytical mindset and data-driven problem solver with the initiative to pro-actively identify improvement opportunities 

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel; coding experience (e.g., Python) is strongly valued although not a requirement 

  • Flexible to changing priorities in a fast-moving environment with no/little structure

  • Hands-on mentality

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages are an advantage
