Supply Chain Management Expert (m/f/x) SAP GTS and Transport Management

The position:

The Supply Chain Management Expert (m/f/x) specializing in SAP Global Trade Services (GTS) and Transport Management is responsible for optimizing and enhancing the organization's supply chain processes by leveraging the capabilities of SAP GTS and Transport Management. This role involves analyzing, designing, and implementing effective supply chain strategies, ensuring seamless integration with SAP GTS and Transport Management, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency and performance improvements.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Lead implementation and continuous improvement of SAP GTS and Transport Management modules
  • Align these modules with organizational supply chain strategies and objectives.
  • Configure and customize modules in collaboration with IT to meet business requirements
  • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and customs requirements
  • Monitor and manage trade compliance risks, implementing corrective actions as needed
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize logistics operations
  • Analyze and optimize existing supply chain processes
  • Develop best practices for trade compliance, transportation planning, and logistics management
  • Monitor KPIs and generate reports to track process effectiveness
  • Work with cross-functional teams to integrate and align supply chain activities
  • Facilitate meetings and workshops to gather requirements and address issues
  • Provide training and support on SAP GTS and Transport Management functionalities
  • Develop and maintain training materials and documentation
  • Troubleshoot and resolve related issues promptly
  • Stay updated with trends and best practices in supply chain management, SAP GTS, and Transport Management
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement
  • Drive initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels

Personal skills and professional experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field. A Master’s degree is a plus
  • Several years (minimum 5 years) proven experience working in supply chain management, focusing on SAP GTS and Transport Management implementation and optimization
  • SAP GTS and/or SAP Transport Management certification or other relevant certifications are highly desirable
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software tools
  • Proficiency in trade compliance, transportation planning, and logistics management
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Hands-on mentality, effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good networking skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • High degree of independence, flexibility, and resilience
  • Willingness to travel as needed
  • Fluency in written and spoken German and English
