Manager Order-to-Cash Operations and Credit Management (m/f/x)

The position:

Roles & responsibilities:

  • Be the responsible contact person for all internal and external stakeholders regarding credit management, especially for local Finance Directors, Customer Service, Legal, auditors etc. 

  • Steer and perform design, alignment and maintenance of End-to-end Order-to-Cash and Credit Management process and all related policies according to IFRS and internal policies

  • Take over the operational responsibility for all Credit Management and Cash Ops activities and functionally coordinate the Credit Management team  

  • Coordinate and execute the accounts receivable process, including payment terms setting, customer and receivables risk categorization and risk management with implications on cash and working capital 

  • Be responsible for the regular customer monitoring via external agencies

  • Steer and perform design, implementation and execution of regular KPI monitoring, analyses and forecasts with regards to cash, credits, receivables and customers as well as reporting to all relevant stakeholders (e.g. to SVP Finance, Head of Finance Shared Services)  

  • Coordinate and perform transactional receivables accounting including reconciliations, discrepancy resolution, master data management, credit limit assessments and credit limit changes, shipping blocks as well as support of dunning and collections process in cooperation with local Finance Directors, Customer Service, Commercial and Controlling Teams

  • Coordinate and execute bad debt financial treatment in line with policies and IFRS standards and initiate mitigation and legal actions in close cooperation with Customer Service and Legal and according to IFRS and internal company policies

 

Professional experience & education:

  • Successfully completed studies in Economics, Business Administration or a successfully completed Finance-related professional education

  • At least 4-6 years of relevant work experience including functional team coordination and the operational responsibility for a whole topic in a line or project management function
  • Solid Finance and Accounting knowledge; professional training with regards to Finance, Accounting or Cash/Credit Management or relevant certification is an advantage
  • Strong background in Credit & Risk Management, (Internal) Audit or Accounting in an internationally operating company or relevant experience in Audit or in Accounting advisory
  • Solid Experience in project management and functional coordination as well as in process design and implementation in Finance & Accounting, ideally in the environment of global business services, shared services or in transformation contexts 
  • Very good understanding of the End-to-end Order-to-Cash and Credit Management process and good knowledge in other Finance and Accounting processes as well as in IFRS  
  • Good knowledge of SAP R/3, SAP ECC or S/4 HANA and MS-Office
  • Business fluent English in writing and conversations, good to very good conversational German; further languages are an advantage
  • Strong sense of ownership, ability to functionally coordinate people and complex activities
  • Very good communication and negotiation skills with a highly convincing, goal-oriented manner and the capability to manage conflicts constructively
  • Very high customer orientation and ability to work in teams as well as a successful track record in cross-functional and international collaboration
  • Autonomous, accurate and proactive way of working
