Position and Key Responsibilities:

In your function you will provide internal business consultation, support as well as analytical guidance to the Oncology teams in The Netherlands and Belgium to enable informed strategic and tactical decisions, and drive forecasts and lead market insights initiatives. You will report directly to Country Manager the Netherlands, with a dotted line to the Country Manager Belgium-Luxemburg.

 

In strong coordination with the Dutch and Belgian Commercial and Medical teams, you will:

 

  • Support the current and future portfolio of the Oncology Business Units in Belgium and the Netherlands
  • Provide an objective in depth understanding of the Dutch and Belgian Oncology market and the key drivers of brand performance
  • Identify and define Market Insights, Competitive Intelligence needs and information gaps and select the most appropriate methodology for data collection.
  • Use sales data, competitor insights, dynamic opportunity data, SFE data, and market research to integrate business insights into actionable product/brand opportunities
  • Design and lead local market research projects and apply innovative research approaches
  • Foster a customer-centric culture by anticipating future customer needs
  • Support the local teams in the Brand Planning process through situational analysis, scenario planning and activity planning
  • Provide quantitative analyses and leads the development of Oncology business forecasts and benchmark applications.
  • Align with the local cross-functional Oncology teams on the forecast assumptions, the Oncology Brand performance KPIs and potential opportunities
  • Collaborate closely with the EU Market Insights Lead and support European market research projects

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Marketing/business-related Degree / MA / PhD in Sciences
  • At least 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical market research
  • Experience in analytical support/insights generation, RWE and Oncology is preferred 
  • Experience in forecasting launches and benchmark applications
  • Experience in both Dutch and Belgian market
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • Strong quantitative affinity, including Excel and statistical analysis
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong ability to work in a team
  • Hands on proactive mentality
  • English and Dutch fluent both written & spoken, preferably additional languages. French is appreciated not a must
