Context

Building the future of Oncology, Daiichi Sankyo has a promising pipeline of new products within the field of Oncology including one of the most breakthrough technologies of recent years. The Oncology Business Division (OBD) is actively contributing to achieving Daiichi Sankyo’s 2030 Vision to become an innovative global healthcare company contributing to the sustainable development of society.

 

As Key Account Manager Oncology, you will drive the Engagement of Health Care Professionals (HCP’s) to optimize breast cancer treatment and management care. Furthermore, you are the orchestrator of our Omnichannel Brand approach.

 

In this position you directly report into the Commercial Lead Oncology.

 

The Position

As Key account Manager, you are responsible for an optimal product implementation within breast cancer accounts by creating and implementing tools, projects and organizing events which are cross functional defined within the National Brand plan.

Therefore, you aim to engage optimally with HCPs involved in breast cancer treatment/management (predominantly oncologists and VSOs) and other key stakeholders, including hospital pharmacists and buyers, through the ideation, creation, organization and implementation of tools, projects and events.

 

Your accountabilities:

 

  • Optimal product implementation within breast cancer accounts to drive optimal breast cancer treatment and management
  • HCP Engagement & co-creation on tools, projects, and events, including project management as well as development of a regional HCP Engagement Plan and regional budget management
  • National Brand Plan Tactics alignment, support and customization for execution, with cross-functional Brand team

  • Regional Sales
  • Tools, Projects, Events (output/nr)
  • #Nr HCP engagement/attendance in projects, activities, and events

 

 

Capabilities and responsibilities

  • Effectively communicates about product characteristics and shares best practices between HCPs/accounts with a call to action with the goal to optimally implement product perception within the accounts to drive optimal breast cancer treatment and management.
  • Develops strong relationships with identified target HCP (groups) on the basis of trust and perceived added value to the HCP in the form of personal expertise and the ability to facilitate HCP’s to achieve their patient care objectives
  • Identifies HCP beliefs, behaviors, preferences (e.g. content, channels, initiatives) and specifics within their patient care environment, translating this into segments and prioritize target HCPs to engage with.
  • Proactively identifies emerging HCP needs and leverages these to facilitate new ideas and solutions for the National Brand plan.
  • Ideation, creation, organization and implementation of tools, projects and events cross-functionally defined within the National Brand Plan in co-creation with HCPs.
  • Close collaboration with the Business Support Assistant when it comes to requesting quotes for projects and services as well as managing approval, accreditation for tools, materials, projects, and events in accordance with the applicable processes.
  • Communication touchpoint and coordination for all initiated projects and events within the National Brand Plan and our Omnichannel approach.
  • Delivering on defined objectives and KPI targets.                                                                                               

 

Qualifications

  • Marketing/business/pharma/bioscience-related Degree / MA / PhD
  • At least 3 years’ experience in pharmaceutical sales, preferably in Oncology
  • Experience and network in breast cancer (preferred) 
  • Commercial project management experience in healthcare  
  • Advanced engagement skills withs HCPs, groups, and networks
  • Experience in digital communication and multichannel customer approach
  • Experience in co-creation with customers in project ideation and implementation 
  • Hands-on timely and structured approach and accountability 
  • Experience to cooperate in cross functional teams and initiating attitude 
  • Flexible team member with positive and proactive attitude
  • Ability to influence and persuade both internal and external stakeholders
  • Takes personal ownership for maintaining an expert understanding of all developments within

the relevant therapeutic areas and clinical information. 

  • Dutch mother tongue and good command of English, both spoken and written                      
  • Driving license (B)
