The Governmental Affairs & Strategic Partnerships team represents our interests and promotes our goal to become a leading global healthcare company contributing to the sustainable development of society. 

The Senior Manager Governmental Affairs France works with the Daiichi Sankyo Leadership Team in France and the Head of Governmental Affairs & Strategic Partnerships Europe to contribute to shaping the healthcare landscape in the country. The goal: pave the way for current and future therapeutic innovation to benefit patients and support Daiichi Sankyo in realizing its 2030 vision.

The role informs about developments in policy, makes risks and opportunities visible, and defines, manages, and executes comprehensive stakeholder strategies and their corresponding activities and messaging. One focus here is building relationships with key political and industry stakeholders to ensure the DS’s priorities are reflected in the healthcare discussion.


REPORTING
Reports to the Head of Governmental Affairs & Strategic Partnerships Europe


 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Supports the execution of the global and regional Governmental Affairs strategies in France. 
•    Works closely with the Country Manager and other members of the Leadership Team in France.
•    Develops and implements the national GA strategy aligned with the Public Affairs Committee.
•    Contribute to shaping our sectoral environment.
•    Create, develop and maintain a good level of information and exchange with our external contacts at national and local level (Government, MPs, local elected representatives, think-tanks, etc.).
•    Analyzes and actively follows trends and changes in the political and healthcare environment and develops position papers for France.
•    Supports DS-representatives’ participation in key events.
•    Leads by example and builds trustful relationships with political stakeholders. 
•    Works closely with Market Access, Communication, Medical, and Commercial on interdisciplinary approaches.
•    Fosters an open and creative information and engagement culture through a coherent approach across the organization.
•    Act as PLFSS specialist.
•    Supports development and coordination of administrative documents such as CSIS in collaboration with Market Access + CIR in collaboration with R&D.
•    Works on analyzing France attractivity to support R&D and Group local strategy investments.


EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
•    University degree (e.g. Master’s degree in Political Science, European Studies, Public Affairs, Law, Journalism, Economics, or similar) 
•    At least 5-7 years of work experience in a company or institutional PA position in the healthcare sector, preferable in an advanced position 
•    Experience in working with a diverse set of stakeholders to impact political and policy engagement programs and campaigns
•    In-depth experience in developing collaborations for roundtables and other events
•    Deep understanding of the political environment
•    Extensive external personal network

•    Passion for people and extensive experience in collaboration

•    Ability to work independently and set priorities
•    Excellent communication and presentation skills 
•    Ability to manage and drive multiple tasks, priorities, and deliver on deadlines and budgets
•    Excellent French and English language skills (written and spoken) with other languages being an advantage
