Head of CAPEX Procurement (m/f/x) 


Purpose of the function:

Roles and responsibilities:


  • Lead & partner with Engineering and Project Leads as well as the Sourcing Team for Strategy, SRM, RFP, supplier selection, negotiation, and contract execution
  • Lead & partner with category leadership (Lead Buyer) to develop and execute strategies for the categories 
  • Provide leadership, engagement, and development on site relationship
  • Manage risk assessment of the supply base and develop mitigation and management plan
  • Through a collaborative team coordinate and drive RFP’s / RFI’s process for CAPEX initiatives
  • Leverage and negotiate pricing on combined volumes of purchases at various locations with industry leading suppliers to reduce the cost of goods and overheads. Prioritize saving opportunities and take a unified approach with our various purchasing locations on a regional and global level 
  • Provide spend, savings & value contribution reporting, actual v target monthly
  • Increase spend under contract
  • Negotiate supply agreements with vendors improving commercial conditions
  • Responsible for ensuring that suppliers adhere to the Terms & Conditions specified on the purchase order and resolves challenges, for implementing the Procurement guidelines on site and contributing to its local deployment


Personal skills and professional experience:


  • Master or Bachelor degree in engineering (e.g. civil engineer)
  • Preferably strong expertise and working history (> 5 years) in relevant pharmaceutical sourcing category: CAPEX, Construction Services, Facility and Manufacturing Equipment, Claim Management
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, open for all business relevant topics and willingness to challenge as is process in order to add value
  • Strong negotiation skills combined with contract & legal knowledge
  • Interpersonal and intercultural understanding and Customer service orientation
  • An integer team player and reliable partner with very good communication skills and achievement orientation
  • IT Tools: MS Office, SAP MM, eSourcing and affinity to digital tools and IT
  • German (mandatory), English
