Manager CMO (m/f/x)

 

The position:

This position will be responsible for managing Contract Manufacturing Organizations from demand and supply control perspectives. Goals include assuring stable supply, project management on change controls as well as management of daily operations. This cross-functional position will work with DST SC and all DSE (Daiichi Sankyo Europe) business units (Pharmaceutical Development, Regulatory Affairs, QC, QA, Production, Procurement, Legal, Finance, Controlling etc.).

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Supplier Relationship Management
    • Manage long range requirements and maintain strategic capacity and contingency plans at suppliers
    • Monitor and manage all business continuity planning to reduce supplier risk
    • Negotiate and manage supply agreements

 

  • Project Management
    • Manage as key coordinator from DSE side projects like change of site, regulatory changes, and mergers of CMOs etc.
    • Being the central key account person in a complex environment among Affiliates, European Headquarters, Global Headquarters and CMO
    • Driving force in projects, get all related persons on the same page, harmonize communication and increase reliability to solve all issues and end projects successfully
       
  • Performance Management
    • Develop annual business goals, monitor performance through KPIs, and provide feedback to internal and external partners
    • Ensure customer service levels, inventory targets, financial targets, and cost reduction targets meet or exceed the plan

 

  • Sales & Operations Planning Management
    • Ensure open communication among Contract Manufacturing, Demand Planning, Regional Management and Marketing

 

  • Support Sourcing Management
    • Support the requisition of materials to support the requirements of all customers
    • Balance inventory, service, and costs with key corporate targets
    • Improve purchasing efficiency to ensure work aligns with contract terms & conditions
    • Determine inventory policy throughout the supply chain process and review safety stock and replenishment targets, while minimizing excess inventory
    • Provide inventory analysis and proactively manage backorders
    • Ensure targets and cost savings objectives are established and met on an annual basis

 

Professional experience and personal skills:

  • University degree in Business Administration, Pharma./Chem. Sciences or equivalent experience
  • At least a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a pharmaceutical company in CMO Management
  • Knowledge of manufacturing planning, inventory control, and Supply Chain Management
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work cross functionally within the European and Global environment
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize and deliver to deadlines
  • A team player, open minded, flexible, proactive, motivated and willing to learn and develop
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Experience with SAP R/3, Microsoft Office
  • Experience working in a global organization in global projects
  • Ability to work in English - fluent English in written and spoken
  • International experience is a plus
