Technician GMP (m/f/x) 

 

Purpose of the function:

As a GMP Bioprocess technician you are responsible for the operation of upstream and downstream microbial bioprocesses in a new GMP Bio Plant.

 

Role and Responsibilities:

  • You will be actively involved in the qualification of new bioprocess equipment (upstream and downstream) according to GMP guidelines
  • You will be responsible for the correct operation and maintenance of the GMP equipment according to SOPs
  • You will be involved in the whole process of biologics production from material management, inoculation, fermentation, harvest, purification and bulk fill
  • Writing and implementing working instructions (SOPs)
  • Involvement in method transfer of novel bioprocesses from R&D to the GMP Bio plant

 

Personal skills and professional experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in bioprocess engineering with at least 3 years working experience or training as Biological Technical Assistant with at least 5 years working experience
  • Working experience under GMP standards in a bioprocess plant
  • Proven hands-on knowledge of microbial upstream and downstream bioprocesses at >= 10L scale
  • Skills to organize, coordinate and execute on details, while keeping the big picture in sight
  • Problem solver with the initiative to think critically to pro-actively identify improvement opportunities
  • Reliability and demonstrated ability to work in teams, as well as autonomous/without constant monitoring
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English 
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
